Kyle Schaberg Memorial Fund

Kyle’s legacy is shaping the lives of people with disability.

 In memory of Kyle Schaberg.

Kyle was a remarkable young man who loved rugby league and his Manly Warringah Sea Eagles. He overcame adversity throughout his life and did not let these challenges stand in his way.

Kyle competed in the NSW Physical Disability Rugby League competition for over a decade, represented his country, and will be remembered by the rugby league community for his blistering speed, competitive fire, and that game-day smile. Kyle’s on-field achievements were truly remarkable. With his try-scoring ability and historic point-scoring records, he is regarded as one of the all-time greats of our game.

Kyle was loved by his parents, family, friends and teammates and he left us unexpectedly and far too soon. He made lifelong friendships over many years and will be forever missed.

For this reason, the family could not think of a better way to honour the memory of Kyle than to set up a PDRL Memorial Fund to support aspiring players with disability in financial need and to support them to participate in the game that Kyle loved.

Thank you on behalf of the Schaberg family and the entire Physical Disability Rugby League community.
