Hi All,
It is a while since, and with the final part of the season happening it is a good time to reflect or the season so for and give some details of the last part of the season.
With only two rounds to go the 2024 Cabra Cup could go to any of the four teams, well done to Players, Game Support, Managers, and Coaches for your efforts and successes.
A feature is always the new players joining and how quickly they are accepted and get involved great to see.It is also pleasing to see regular recruits applying to join, keeping the registration and classification volunteers busy.
Also to thanks are the four clubs who support each of the teams being Sydney Roosters, South Sydney Rabbitohs, West Tigers and Newtown Jets, also in the background are Parramatta Eels and Manly Warringah Sea Gulls, who if when more players are recruited can be added to the teams, keeping registrar Jenny Netting busy with in depth question.
The season still has two rounds to play in the Cabra Cup with games on Saturday, 31th August at Henson Park, Marrickville , please be there around midday, as the first game Wests Tigers v Sydney Roosters starts at 12.45pm and the Newtown v South Sydney game, will start at 1.40pm, and the last games of the camp on September 8th back at Cabramatta.
The semi finals will be at Cabramatta on September 15th and the grand final on September 29th.
Following this will be the Harmony Nines Exhibition game on the weekend of October 19th, an end of year presentation is being prepared and will be announced shortly.
With the end of the Association year on October 31st, it is anticipated the Annual General Meeting will be held nearly December, as last year, good to see all members there, will be announced once ratified by the board.

In doing that thanks to Lainey Gaudron, Stephanie Pomyat, and Melanie Miocevich for all the hard work to keep the information and photos flowing, and the team managers, Rebecca Coppe, Lainey, Skye and Michelle Taylor for doing the major communications with the teams, so for the NSWPDRLA has exceeded the activities, planned, a great effort!
To Dave Smith and Michelle Povah for getting the ground and game management under control, to Doug Keen organising the referees and the Medical Support (and the bad Jokes!), Chris Bryant the treasurer, who assists with every team during the game with water and support, and Keith Povah who balances the teams, oversees the classifications, referees, plays (if AB required).
With the rest of the board in Che Fornusek and George Tonna who play only leaves Paul Tubridy (the writer) to assist and fill in where required.
Please reach out if you have ideas or wish to be more involved.
See you at the game.
Paul Tubridy (CHAIRMAN)
