LIFE MEMBERS
Life Membership recognises individuals whose continuous and outstanding contribution has significantly advanced the Association and Physical Disability Rugby League in Australia.
George Tonna (2018)
George, the founder of PDRLA, became the first Life Member after being nominated by Patricia Spennati. His leadership, passion and relentless work since 2010 helped establish and grow Physical Disability Rugby League in Australia.
Aldo Spennati (2019)
Aldo has supported PDRL since 2014 through game day work, organisation, player support and fundraising. He proudly promotes the Association and helps secure sponsorships.
Patricia (Trish) Spennati (2019)
Trish has supported PDRL since 2014 through fundraising, sponsorship, and collaboration with the Board. She was awarded the NSWRL Inclusive Volunteer of the Year in 2018.
Dave Smith (2021)
Dave has served since the Association’s inception in coaching, operations, and volunteer roles. He was awarded the NSWRL Inclusive Volunteer of the Year in 2019.
Keith Povah (2021)
Keith has contributed since 2011 as a referee, Board member, and classification committee member. He has also supported international PDRL development.
Craig Anderson (2023)
Craig has been a player, coach, and Australian representative. He served as Assistant Coach at the first PDRL World Cup.
Dr Che Fornusek (2023)
One of the original six players and long‑serving Secretary, Che has contributed to competitions, classifications, and all‑abilities initiatives.
Kyle Lloyd Schaberg (2024)
Kyle is the highest point scorer in NSWPDRL history, with 112 games, 113 tries, and 66 goals. A five‑time NSWPDRL Player of the Year and Australian representative.
Geoff Clarke (2024)
Geoff has played 103 games, represented Australia, coached Wests Tigers, and earned multiple awards including Manly’s Captain’s Best.
2019 NSWRL Inclusive Volunteer of the Year Award was presented to Dave Smith.
Nominees are those that have shown a measured contribution to one of the many NSW Inclusive Rugby League programs.
